My Trip To Kenya
So I must say, one of the most exciting things about coming home was the food, the food, the food, the food, the things that I loved to eat and drink all the time when I was growing up. Let me run through some of my favorites right now.
Breakfast surprise with some real deal chai made with fresh gold crown milk with some tea masalaand to go with that some Broadway bread with Blueband and some Zesta peanut butter spread and to top it off some FARMERS CHOICE SAUSAGES.
Now don’t even get me started on lunch and dinner, First off my mum making fresh batch of CHAPATI’S and MAANDAZI (aka MAHAMRI) and those can go with anything, Mungulu(Beans), Dengu or a nice MEAT STEW. and just knowing that I can head to the kitchen anytime and find a maandazi or a chapatti to snack on is priceless.
Now you wanna know why I love my mama? Not only because she is the best ever but because she walks in with gifts like these … a bottle of my favorite soda growing up aka KREST BITTER LEMON and a box of House Of Manji Biscuits!!
What is most beautiful about it all is walking outside and picking some fresh red chili, nice ripe yellow bananas, tripping over round fresh avocados and smiling that you don’t have to pay $1.99 each for them….
Well enjoy the Pics and drool a little…maybe when I get back I can share some of my goodies with YOU
